Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and IW GROUP LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Veristamp," "we," "us"), governing your use of the Veristamp mobile application, website, and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

Veristamp provides technology for documenting property conditions: guided photo capture, cryptographic fingerprinting (hashing) and timestamping of photos, generation of condition reports, and electronic signing by the parties you invite.

Veristamp is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not provide notarization services. Features that reference laws or deadlines (such as jurisdiction guidance, deposit limits, or reminder timelines) are general information based on publicly available sources, may be incomplete or out of date, and are not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney. You are solely responsible for your compliance with laws that apply to you. We make no guarantee about the outcome of any dispute, negotiation, adjudication, or court proceeding in which a Veristamp report is used, and no guarantee that any report will be admitted as evidence or given any particular weight.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Sign-in is provided via Apple, Google, or email links; keep your email account secure, since it controls access to Veristamp. Notify us promptly at support@veristamp.app of any unauthorized use.

(a) Capture rules. Certified reports accept only photos captured in the app. Each photo is hashed and timestamped at capture.

(b) Finalization is permanent. When you finalize a report, its contents are locked and cannot be edited or deleted, by you or by us, except as described in the Privacy Policy's deletion provisions. This immutability is a core feature; do not finalize a report until you have reviewed it.

(c) Signature events are permanent. Signatures and declines, once recorded, cannot be withdrawn through the Services.

(d) Your responsibility for content. You are responsible for what you photograph and write. You represent that you have the legal right to photograph the property documented in your reports and to share the report with the parties you invite, and that your reports do not violate any law or third-party right, including privacy rights of others.

The Services allow parties to sign reports electronically by typing their legal name, confirming an adoption statement, and optionally drawing a signature. You consent to transact electronically and agree that these electronic signatures are intended to have the effect of handwritten signatures to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including, in the United States, the ESIGN Act and applicable state implementations of UETA). Whether any particular signature is valid or enforceable in a specific situation depends on facts and law outside our control, and we make no guarantee regarding enforceability.

When you invite someone to sign, you confirm you have the right to share the report with them and to provide us their contact information for that purpose.

Reports may involve multiple parties (for example, tenants, landlords, property managers, witnesses). Every party to a finalized report may view, download, and retain that report, including after any party deletes their account. You cannot revoke another party's access to a report they have signed or lawfully received.

(a) Certified Report is a one-time purchase that unlocks certified PDF generation and signing for a single report. Veristamp Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks the features described at purchase.

(b) All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their payment terms. Prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed and cancelled through your App Store or Google Play account settings — not within the app.

(c) Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we do not process payments directly and generally cannot issue refunds ourselves.

(d) Lapse protection: certified PDFs you have purchased remain downloadable even if a subscription later lapses.

(e) Prices and features may change prospectively; changes do not affect a subscription period you have already paid for.

You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; photograph people or private information without lawful right; attempt to alter, forge, or misrepresent report contents, hashes, timestamps, or signatures; misrepresent your identity or authority to sign; access another person's account or reports without authorization; probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the Services; use automated means to access the Services except through interfaces we provide; or resell the Services without our written agreement. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with immediate effect where necessary to protect the integrity of the Services or other users.

You retain ownership of your photos and report content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, and transmit your content solely to operate and provide the Services (including generating PDFs, computing hashes, delivering reports to invited parties, and maintaining backups). This license ends when your content is deleted from the Services, except for content retained under the multi-party provisions of Section 5 and the Privacy Policy, and residual backup copies purged on our standard schedule. We do not use your content to train AI models.

The Services, including software, design, branding, and report formats, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. "Veristamp" and the Veristamp logo are trademarks of IW GROUP LLC.

Sign-in, payments, and certain infrastructure are provided by third parties (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Resend, cloud hosting). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING SECTION 1, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY REPORT WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR LEGAL OR PRACTICAL RESULT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DEPOSITS, LOST EVIDENCE VALUE, OR LOSS OF DATA ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (ii) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of the Services in violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights — including claims by persons photographed in, or parties to, your reports.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and you may have additional non-waivable rights and venues under the consumer-protection laws of your state of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including rights under the California consumer-protection statutes for California residents.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 3, 5, 8–14) survive.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
